In June-July 2024, the K.A. Savitsky Penza Art Gallery opened an exhibition of works by Yuri Semenovich Evseyev (1933-2008), artist and member of the USSR Union of Artists. The A. and V. Sychev Gallery made a modest contribution to the preparation of this event.

Yuri Semenovich Evseyev was born in 1933 in the Akmola Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He spent his childhood and youth in the city of Karaganda. The lessons of his first painting teacher, the artist Vladimir Aleksandrovich Eifert, forever shaped Yuri Semenovich's future. In 1962, he graduated from the K.A. Savitsky Penza Art College. In 1966, he moved to Shymkent, southern Kazakhstan, where he headed the Union of Artists and participated in exhibitions. He has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1971. He lived and worked in Adygea for the last ten years of his life.

The exhibition features over 50 of the master's remarkable works, including pieces from the private collection of A. and V. Sychev.
